Policy
LocalWise is designed to help you save and organize local places while keeping your information private by default. LocalWise does not sell personal data and does not use personal data for third-party advertising or tracking.
Information LocalWise Uses
Saved places and notes. LocalWise stores the places, lists, categories, notes, ratings, tags, completion states, and app preferences you create or edit in the app.
Location. If you grant location permission, LocalWise may use your device location to show nearby places or map context. Location permission is managed by iOS and can be changed in device settings.
iCloud sync. If iCloud sync is available and enabled, supported app data may sync using your private iCloud account through Apple services. LocalWise does not run its own account system for this data.
Maps and Place Search
LocalWise may use Apple MapKit and related Apple services for place search, autocomplete, maps, location lookup, directions context, and coordinates. These requests are used for app functionality, not advertising or tracking.
Network Requests
LocalWise may make network requests to:
- Apple MapKit and location services for maps and place search.
- Apple iCloud services if sync is available and enabled.
LocalWise does not currently use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking SDKs.
How Information Is Used
LocalWise uses information to save and show your places, notes, lists, categories, map context, search results, and app preferences. LocalWise does not sell your data or share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
Data Storage and Deletion
LocalWise stores app data locally on your device. If iCloud sync is available and enabled, supported app data may also be stored in your private iCloud account, subject to normal iOS and iCloud behavior.
You can delete saved places or lists in the app. You can also delete the app from your device to remove local app data, subject to normal iOS and iCloud behavior.
Children
LocalWise is not intended to collect personal information from children for advertising or tracking. If children use the app, location, iCloud, and sharing features should be managed by a parent or guardian through Apple device and family settings.
Changes
This policy may be updated as LocalWise changes. If the app adds new data collection, analytics, payments, sharing, or account features, this policy and App Store privacy answers should be reviewed and updated.
